Most of my family is artsy. Coming from that it was only natural I pick up anything that could make a mark and draw on EVERYTHING! :)
I went to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. The time I spent there allowed me to learn about various techniques. Since then I have been finding my own style.
After school I tried a bunch of different jobs. I spent the most time working as an apprentice for Peter Blunt. Mr. Blunt is the man who taught me how to hand cut a dovetail joint! I spent 7 years with him. During this time I became a journeyman woodworker and partner with 20 percent of the company.
Staying true to my creative roots I painted with my aunt, Jacqueline Cason, owner of Jac-of-arts. Our paintbrushes joined for a year. We still work with each other off and on. Its fun when we do get to work together!
Now I spend my time painting murals, building furniture and painting my own art. I like being my own boss. I also enjoy seeing a completed work of art , in any form, that is enjoyed!
When I am not working, (which is rare! ha ha ha!) I like to savor a good glass of red wine, watch an epic movie (right now I am into Troy, Kingdom of Heaven and Alexander) and pet my kitties! *meow* I like to read whenever time permits. Joel Olsten, Tom Robbins, Ayn Rand and Douglas Adams are some of my favorites at the moment!
Currently I live in Jacksonville, Florida.
